In a world without stigma, we can ask for help. We can find comfort in connection. We can heal together. This is why Equitas Health offers a variety of support groups to help meet the whole person healthcare needs of the LGBTQ+ community.
We do not have to go through this alone.
Support groups help us break through stigma and loneliness. We meet people who know what we have been through, because they have faced similar challenges. As a part of a support group, we build nurturing and caring bonds with others. With the strength of community, we start to heal and grow without shame.
Asking for help is a key step in healing – and a sign of strength. Here are six Equitas Health support groups that can help you take that step:
- Repairing the Rainbow | In-person & Online – A support group for LGBTQ+ people who have experienced violence or abuse in a romantic relationship. Participants can give and get support from others with similar experiences, share information, and explore skills to cope.
- Happy Hour | In-person & Online – An affirming recovery discussion space, offering fellowship for those who identify as LGBTQ+.
- Against All Odds | Online – A safe space to beat the odds. Gain support for problem gambling, using harm reduction models to help manage, reduce, or stop gambling.
- S.H.E. | Online – Support, Hope, and Empowerment for women in recovery.
- Living with Conviction| In-person & Online – A supportive discussion space for people in the LGBTQ+ community who have been in prison or jail.
- Tuesdays without Tina | In-person & Online – A queer safe space for people who have sex with gay men and use meth. Find fellowship on your journey towards recovery.
