Thrive with Pride Health and Wellness Day to provide resources on June 25

The 5th Annual Thrive with Pride Health + Wellness Day returns on Wednesday, June 25 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the LGBT+ Community Center of Greater Cleveland, with expanded programming at Near West Theatre.

This essential community event provides comprehensive, affirming, and health services, resources, and wellness activities at no cost and specifically tailored to the LGBTQ+ community.

Thrive with Pride brings together multiple organizations including Central Outreach Wellness Center, Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth, University Hospitals, Stella Luna Counseling & Wellness and several local wellness-focused organizations. Together, these organizations offer a convenient, one-stop hub of crucial health services such as:

• HIV and STI testing
• PrEP access
• Eye exams
• Lung function testing
• Cancer screenings (including breast/chest, cervical, anal, skin, oral, and prostate)
• Diabetes resources
• Osteoporosis assessments
• Hepatitis and MPX vaccines
• And more.

Additionally, free transportation to and from the event is available by leaving your information at 216-444-7505 ahead of time.

The event uniquely integrates holistic wellness into traditional healthcare, with Near West Theatre hosting a dedicated wellness spa zone. Attendees can participate in activities such as yoga, art therapy, reiki, mindfulness, music therapy, and hypnotherapy. Interactive “Eat the Rainbow” food demonstrations provided by Food Strong will emphasize nutrition education in an engaging, accessible manner.

Thrive with Pride addresses critical healthcare access gaps, particularly for LGBTQ+ and allied individuals facing barriers such as lack of insurance or primary care. The event’s purpose is to ensure essential health and wellness resources are accessible to all community members, regardless of circumstance.

All community members and allies are invited to attend, spread the word, and encourage anyone who might benefit from these services to participate, whether for the convenience of a one-stop hub of services or for those disconnected from regular care. No insurance or documentation needed. Just come as you are, and help us spread the word to ensure our community gets the care and connection we deserve.
