Svetlana Harlan

Svetlana is a historian focusing on LGBTQ+ history. She earned a PhD in history from The Ohio State University. She is currently the Project Coordinator of the Gay Ohio History Initiative (GOHI) at the Ohio History Connection. As Project Coordinator of GOHI, Svetlana works to preserve and share Ohio’s LGBTQ+ history through community organizing and collections. Svetlana also shepherds LGBTQ+ community members and organizations through the application process for Ohio Historical Markers.
