Welcome to the Gayby’s First Pride Photo Project!
We’re overwhelmed by AI slop, and we know you are too. So for Pride 2026, we’re hitting rewind and going analog.
We’re selecting 10 people to receive a disposable film camera, which you’ll use capture your day at Pride through your own eyes.
We’ll turn your photos into a gallery and publish them: No edits, no filters, no AI – just your real experience in real time.
Here’s how it works:
- We’ll mail you a Fujifilm disposable camera with 27 shots.
- Carry the camera with you and snap photos based on our list of prompts.
- No editing, no AI, just your first Pride experience in real time.
- Mail the camera back to us (we pay for shipping!) and we’ll get your photos developed and printed, then we’ll compile them in a gallery with photos from other participants.
Who can participate?
You qualify to participate in the Gayby’s First Pride Project if:
- You are attending your first ever Pride event in Ohio
- You are attending an Ohio Pride event that you have never been to before
- You are attending a Pride for the first time after coming out as an LGBTQ+ person – or coming out as a new identity that is part of the LGBTQ+ community, even if you have attended this event in years past.
- You are attending Pride for the first time jointly with a partner(s)
