The Buckeye Flame will host “Ohio is So Gay: Past, Present & Future” at the Bayard Rustin LGBTQ+ Resource Center in Akron.

Come join The Buckeye Flame at the Bayard Rustin LGBTQ+ Resource Center on Tuesday, September 29, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm for an informational event followed by an opportunity to share story ideas with the staff of Ohio’s only LGBTQ+ newsroom.
Free food (by Ernie’s Catering) and drinks will be provided. You must RSVP to attend.
This highly interactive workshop will cover Past, Present and Future:
- The Past: Test your knowledge of the past 50 years of Ohio’s LGBTQ+ activism.
- The Present: What are all of the LGBTQ+ bills on the table in Ohio right now and what media literacy tips do you need to know to navigate future coverage?
- The Future: What LGBTQ+ stories from Summit County should The Buckeye Flame be covering? We want to hear from you! Come let us know. 🔥
