The Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus (“CGMC”), central Ohio’s premiere TTBB (tenor, baritone, bass) vocal organization, is proud to announce the presentation of its annual fundraiser gala “Forte,” on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the Worthington Hills Country Club.
CGMC’s Artistic Director Brayton Bollenbacher says Forte contributes to CGMC’s overall mission, “Forte continues to acknowledge and recognize our organization and community that is thriving.”
Bollenbacher says events like Forte are especially important given the country’s current political climate. “Forte is essential because we, like many arts and LGBTQ organizations, are dealing with a difficult time for our community. Funding is being threatened and individuals are being threatened. It is important for us to come together to celebrate our organization. Also, having a party is the best time to raise funds for an organization you love,” Bollenbacher said.
Now in its 36th year, CGMC has been and continues to be a strong voice for LGBTQIA+ representation in the arts, demonstrating to central Ohio and beyond that music can bring people together, build understanding, and inspire change.
CGMC has grown to regularly have more than 125 members during each concert performance. The ensemble is now the largest TTBB (tenor, baritone, bass) chorus in the state of Ohio. Members have various sexual orientations and gender identities, and all are welcome. CGMC is a nonprofit organization, and 100% of all contributions go directly to the support of its mission: “Inviting All With Voices Raised, Lives Changed.”

During this year’s Forte, tribute will be paid to Morgan Stanley Vice President Gregory Zunkiewicz with the Forte Award. Greg joined Morgan Stanley Wealth Management as a Vice President and Financial Advisor in April 2023. Greg has served as an advocate for the Columbus LGBTQIA+ community through his work on the board of directors for the Kaleidoscope Youth Center, which provides a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth in central Ohio. Consistently working to support the central Ohio LGBTQ+ community is a primary prerequisite for receiving the Forte Award.
Bollenbacher says guests who attend Forte can expect a fun and enjoyable time. “We will have silent auction items, performances by our emcees, music from CGMC’s auditioned ensemble VOX and dancing!” 🔥
