Meet Cleveland’s 2022 LGBTQ+ Heritage Day Award Honorees

Each October, the City of Cleveland honors the contributions of LGBTQ+ people on LGBTQ+ Heritage Day. Meet this year’s honorees.

On the second Saturday of October, the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland observes the City of Cleveland’s LGBTQ+ Heritage Day.

In recognition of LGBTQ+ History Month, awardees are recognized in five areas: Advocacy and Activism, Health and Wellness, Public Service, Arts and Culture, Workplace Inclusion and LGBTQ+ Legacy.

The 2022 City of Cleveland Heritage Day Awardees are:

ChrisTina Reed, Health and Wellness Award

Dean Rufus, LGBTQ+ Legacy Award

Gil Kudrin, LGBTQ+ Legacy Award

Carey Gibbons, Public Service Award

Rem Wransky, Workplace Inclusion Award

Kyle Kidd, Arts and Culture Award

Ryan Clopton-Zymler, Advocacy and Activism Award

Marisol Martinez, Advocacy and Activism Award
