Get ready to lace up your running shoes and join the vibrant and inclusive community of Akron, Ohio, for a historic event.
The first-ever Akron Pride 5K (AP 5K) will occur on August 25, 2023, at 7:30 pm as part of the city’s highly anticipated Akron Pride Festival celebration.
The Akron Pride 5K invites individuals from all walks of life, no matter your age, gender, sexual orientation or athletic ability. Whether you are an experienced runner or a first-time participant, this event is for everyone who believes in fostering an inclusive society.
This family- and pet-friendly event supports the Akron Pride Festival and the LGBTQ+ community in Akron.
Participants will begin their run at Canal Place, winding through the city to Summit Lake Park then along the Ohio and Erie Canal towpath back to Canal Place.
R Shea Brewing and Hard Mule Seltzer have joined in as sponsors and hosts for post-run festivities.
Participants are encouraged to don their most colorful and creative outfits to make the APF 5K even more memorable. Express yourself, display your pride and let your true colors shine as you participate in this extraordinary celebration of diversity.
